Ms. Marta Bajko, Section Leader of the String Facility @ CERN
|
Marta, born in Romania, graduated in 1994 from the Technical University of Budapest with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering. She started her career as an assistant at the same university before moving to CEDEX, a research laboratory in Spain, where she received training in superconducting magnet design and testing. In 1996, Marta joined CERN and has since held various significant roles within the organization. As a Project Engineer, Marta was responsible for overseeing the supply contract, managing the production of one-third of the superconducting dipole cold masses required for the LHC. She actively participated to the LHC hardware commissioning while acquiring expertise in new technologies for the HL-LHC. Marta than led the Superconducting Magnet Test Facility at CERN for 10 years. She is currently the leader of the HL-LHC IT String Test Facility and its team, continuing to make contributions to the field of superconducting magnets and accelerator technology. |
