She was born in Latvia. She pursued her master's studies at Imperial College London and obtained a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering. During this time, she also spent a year at ISAE Supaero in Toulouse, France, and completed a technical studentship at CERN’s Central Cryogenics Laboratory. After finishing her studies, she worked at ISISpace. She completed a PhD in thermodynamics with a project in collaboration between ESA, CERN, and the University of Twente, and then joined the ATLAS experiment. Currently, she works at CERN as a mechanical and project engineer responsible for the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the cryogenic system for the HL-LHC IT String project. |
